Inital For Thought
Completed an initial character sketch today, utilizing light style mimicking as I've done a few times in the past. Really wasn't sure I'd get the style accurately enough, but I gotta say I'm quite happy with the result.
I was listening to this as I completed it. Felt reeeeeealy good. =D

DeleteI know exactly what you mean. I've tried my hand at animation as well. You remember the Merith pics I sent you? Imagine trying to animate with that level of shading all by yourself. I worked for a month straight, every single day, and got maybe 20 seconds of animation. It was grueling. But I just couldn't bring myself to cut back on the details because I've been drawing to those standards for so long. So yeah, the better it looks, the harder and more of a pain it'll be especially by yourself. Must be why they have teams to do this kind of work...

ReplyDeleteFor example she is houndmaster and uses dogs or wolfes to attack the heroine, or she can summon tentacles ^.^
(so you only need to animate her breathing and the maybe the walking, but she could ride a wolf aswell ^^)

Thanks! While you're idea is a good way to hurry things along, it would also imply that the boss is done in a style different then that of the main character, which would be kind of strange. Her fate however, is not that of a boss character's, which I'll elaborate on in next post.
